Kids Cooking Birthday Parties
Here at Sydney Cooking School we teach practical, entertaining and informative cooking classes to anyone from the complete novice to experienced cooks – including KIDS! Our Kids Classes are innovative, motivating, entertaining and most of all FUN!
The birthday boy or girl will work with the Chef as the Chef’s assistant so that they are made to feel very special and important and everyone lends a hand and participates in preparing the dishes, whilst learning a few cooking tips along the way.
For kids under 10 the cost is $59.00 per child.
The event runs for 1.5 hours. The kids prepare Chicken or Beef Empanadas (1 choice), Pizza and decorate cupcakes for a cupcake birthday cake. We supply water for the table and a coloured apron and hat that the kids take home.
For kids 10 and over the cost is $65.00 per child.
The event runs for 2 hours. They prepare sushi, pumpkin & ricotta ravioli parcels and warm chocolate fondant. We supply water for the table, a coloured apron and hat that the kids take home.
You are welcome to bring a birthday cake to cut, however this is not necessary as the dessert the children make acts as the celebratory cake as we all sing Happy Birthday and blow out candles. You are also welcome to bring any nibbles such as popcorn or lollies for the table, or additional beverages if you wish, however again, this is not essential.
Minimum numbers required are 10 kids and maximum is 30.
And for the adults while they wait? While the kids are enjoying their cooking class we encourage parents of the children attending to take a short break. There is plenty to do within walking distance of the cooking school. There is a coffee shop at the entrance to the cooking school where parents can purchase fine espresso coffees and homemade treats such as morning tea, sandwiches, sweets and savouries while they wait, or if you would like to organise a platter of items for the parents, this can be arranged also. The iconic Oaks Hotel is located across the street and many shops and small eateries are located all the way down Military Road. (Parents of the birthday child are welcome to stay).
In order to book a Kids Party, please request a booking form. We charge a $300 deposit to confirm the reservation, the balance is settled no later than 4 days before the event.
